Bjorn Loconsole 🇧🇪

Hailing from Antwerp Belgium, the 42-year-old is a passionate bike rider and like all Belgians, cycling is his main religion. Bjorn works as occupational health, safety, environment, and quality manager for a large construction company.

In real life, his favourite regions to cycle are the Dolomites in Italy, the Alpes in Switzerland near St Moritz/Stelvio region, and the Valley of the Oisans in France.

Bjorn is also a very solid rider, the image above was taken the day before he rode Tour de Mont Blanc in 2019 which covered 330km with +8000 metres of climbing in a single day!

Ever since 2011 he has visited the Oisans Region each year for a cycling holiday. “It became special to me, when I rode the Marmotte in 2011, and a few days later, my son was born on the day that the Tour de France rode almost the same road as the Marmotte.”

In 2020, Bjorn re-filmed the most ridden route on FulGaz, Alp d’Huez and it quickly became a favourite ride of many FulGazzers!

“I try to ride off the beaten track. Proof of this is that I this year rode a few hours before I did the Alp, I rode (and filmed) to Villard-Notre Dame an awesome road where you cycle under the waterfalls!

His favourite ride on FulGaz is La Bérarde for its smooth climb and stunning views, but it’s soon to be the Passo Gavia from Ponte di Lengo!

Bjorn has a nine year old son, a seven year old daughter, a beautiful wife and a cat.
