Jon Clifton

Hailing from North Norfolk, UK, Jon Clifton is 60 years old and has been contributing some of the most remote/unusual new rides to FulGaz over several years.

Here’s a little bit about Jon, the man behind our first-ever collection from Iceland and more recently the stunning collection from Lofoten in Norway.

What’s your favourite ride to do in the real world?

Many rides here on our quiet lanes of North Norfolk. Also many areas in Yorkshire and North Staffordshire/Derbyshire.

Favourite FulGaz ride & why?

Too many to list but The Cervinia in the Italian Alps with amazing views of the Matterhorn must be one. Also, many around the Dolomites.

How did you start filming rides for FulGaz?

It was all due to encouragement from Pete Kettle.

Favourite cycling memory?

Probably Col du Galibier with our youngest son a few years back,….. carrying on to Valloire and then the Col du Telegraphe. It was all part of a long weekend in the French Alps starting with climbing Alpe d’Huez and ending with a quick climb up to the Col du Glandon and Col de la Croix de Fer.

Any other random facts you’d like to add?

I started cycling at a young age and clearly remember bunking off school while living in North Staffordshire to cycle up into the Peak District, no money, no maps, no food or water, no kit, we just went. I now do a lot of cycling over much of the UK often going for several nights away (now filming for FulGaz).
