La Route Verte with Harold Levesque

Welcome to first-time contributor, Harold Levesque!

This week, we take a peaceful tour along sections of La Route Verte, a network of bike trails covering most of the province of Quebec, Canada.

The collection features three easy rides that take you through the coastal town of Rimouski and along the Ottawa and Saint-Lawrence rivers.

You can find all these rides under NEW in the FulGaz App.

LA ROUTE VERTE - RIMOUSKI TO SAINT-LUCE

This ride is set on a small section of La Route Verte, a network of bike trails covering most of the province of Quebec in Canada. It takes you along the Saint-Lawrence River (a seaway to the Great Lakes) from the coastal town of Rimouski to the small village of Sainte-Luce. Along the way, you will encounter a historical maritime museum dedicated to the Empress of Ireland, an ocean liner that sank near the coast in 1914 after a collision with a Norwegian collier on a foggy night. The ride ends near a cemetery where some of the victims were buried and a view of the sea where the shipwreck lies in 130ft of water.
