Byron Davy

Coming to us from Melbourne, Byron Davy started filming rides for FulGaz to share his favourite summer rides and allow him to continue riding them at home on rainy days. His collection features a mix of famous climbs and fantastically-scenic sections of the seaside cliffs.

Tell us about this ride collection and why you chose these routes?

These rides are based around the Great Ocean Road where my family has a holiday house which gave me the opportunity to record my favourite routes over the summer months. These are all either popular climbs in the area or just fantastically scenic sections of the Great Ocean Road.

What’s your favourite ride to do in the real world?

Has to be the trip from Lorne to Cape Patton and back. Always with a coffee at the Lorne Anglers Club to finish off!

Favourite FulGaz ride & why?

Any ride in Provence. They always remind me of my time riding around some of the best cycling roads in the world.

How did you start filming rides for FulGaz?

I had an urge to contribute and share some of the great riding we have on hand on Victoria. Also selfishly I can ride some of my favourite roads when it’s either raining or I’m not on holidays!

Favourite cycling memory?

Cycling around Kyoto and Osaka in Japan. Japan is cycle touring nirvana. It has Pocari Sweat available everywhere.

Dream bike or favourite bike?

Colnago C64 or Time VXRS.
