SORRENTO TO MORNINGTON

The beautiful Mornington Peninsula on Port Phillip Bay becomes a very popular tourist destination in summer. A flat training ride before reaching the hilly Mt Martha esplanade between historic towns of Sorrento and Mornington. One interesting moment was on the narrow scenic esplanade in Mt Martha when some of the wonderful charity riders of Tour de Cure and their support vehicle were travelling very slowly making it a very tight squeeze for cars and other cyclists to overtake. What became an awkward riding and filming moment actually became one of the features of the ride after slowly overtaking and encouraging them. The ride finishes at the very scenic Mornington Pier and yacht club.
