Embark on a gravel journey through New Zealand’s picturesque landscapes with the Property Brokers Gravel in Paradise series, now on FulGaz.

Explore three captivating locations across Otago, New Zealand, starting with the ‘Gravel Muster’ in Middlemarch, followed by ‘White Rocks’ in the Waitaki Region, and concluding with the ‘Puketapu Gravel ‘n’ Tar’ near Palmerston.

1. Gravel Muster – Middlemarch, Otago

 

Climbing up through the Nenthorn with spectacular views over the Strath Taieri with it’s large glacial valley and river plateau. Pass through the ancient “Foulden Marr” fossil site which is estimated to have formed some 23 million years ago! The rugged hill ranges farmed with the country’s finest Merino are also ‘home’ to the ‘Musterer’. The event starts and finishes at the Railway Station on Snow Avenue, Middlemarch

2. Whiterocks Gravel Adventure Short Course – North Otago

 

The Otago Province of new Zealand is the home of the historical Elderslie Estate and the place where Round Two of gravel cycling series Gravel in Paradise is based. A roller coaster ride over the hills surrounding the Waitaki and Kakanui valleys. Riding along the tops of the hills sweeping views are revealed of the region’s dairy and sheep farming pastures.

3. Puketapu Gravel ‘n’ Tar – Palmerston, Otago

 

The Gravel ‘n’ Tar starts at the base of Puketapu, ‘Sacred Hill’. A first-up climb on the tar seal of Horse Range Road takes you straight onto the tight, fast and furious technical gravel section. This short circuit will be navigated four times around by Gravel 1 class (long course) and three times in Gravel 2 class (short course). Hang on tight to those bars as you are in for an exhilarating ride.

4. Whiterocks Gravel Adventure Long Course – North Otago

 

A roller coaster ride over the hills surrounding the Waitaki and Kakanui Valley’s. Riding along the tops of the hills sweeping views are revealed of the region’s dairy and sheep farming pastures. Overall, around 90% is on gravel including the last gasp ascent into the Elderslie Estate and the birthplace of famous NZ race Horse Phar Lap.
