Welcome to Pick n Mix number 30!
We’ve been doing these Pick n Mix collections for a few years and it’s always amazing to hit a milestone. Over the last 30 Pick n Mix collections, we’ve welcomed over 30 contributors from around the world.
This week we’ve got a great selection of Aussie rides from David Fell and first-time contributor Georgina von Marburg. Plus, we’re lucky enough for Rob Bennett to bring us our first-ever rides from Costa Rica.
You’ll also find the iconic Mudgee Classic in this series, entries for the 2024 event are now open and this is your chance to explore one of Australia’s premier fondos.

TALLANGATTA NORTH LOOP
Starting in Tallangatta on a foggy day, you'll join the bike path and follow it across the bike-only bridge over Lake Hume. After some more path, you'll jump onto the Murray Valley Highway, then turn left onto Granya Road for the 6k climb into the sunshine. You'll head north to the upper sections of Lake Hume and follow it around in an arc back to a beautiful lookout across the lake to where you started over 3 hours earlier. Whilst the first hour of this ride is foggy, after 1h20mins, the skies open up and bright blue skies emerge. It's a great ride on a beautiful day in a great part of Victoria.
More InfoTARONGA ZOO HILL REPEATS
The Taronga Zoo hill is a local favourite to get some climbing in. It has a nice view across the harbour to Sydney, the opera house and bridge, down at the ferry wharf. The first part of the ride is warm up and the hill repeats (five of them) start at 21mins 20secs and finish at the main entrance to the zoo. Watch out for random bush turkeys!

The Rouleurs Classic course, rolling through some of the Mudgee vineyards, home of many of Australia's best wines. There is a 3.25Km/100m climb QOM/KOM segment on Lowes Peak Road for you to look forward to.
