Lofoten Archipelago with Jon Clifton

This collection from returning contributor Jon Clifton is an absolute stunner.

To capture these rides for FulGaz. Jon had to take two flights and a three-hour 4WD trip to get to Lofoten, an Archipelago in Northern Norway, high about the artic circle.

Having managed to secure a rental mountain bike at Svolvaer, he captured a remarkable collection of five routes to create this spectacular collection.

The stand out this week, as selected by FulGaz Ride Engineer Brett, is Reine Lofoten. He describes it as “the best virtual ride I’ve ever done. Amazing scenery, with a super accurate feel across a lumpy terrain.”

So pop the bike on the trainer and queue this latest collection of rides from Jon.

You can find these rides under NEW in FulGaz or by searching Clifton.

REINE LOFOTEN

This will be one of the most scenic rides you will ever do so sit down, ride slowly and enjoy as we start at the southern tip of the Lofoten Isles in the village of Å (pronounced ‘or’) and listen to the Kittiwake’s nesting on the bakery! We will head north crossing several road bridges and marvel at the incredible backdrop of towering mountains rising from the sea passing by the beautiful little fishing villages of Moskenes, the spectacular Reine, onto the tiny island of Hamnøy and finish in Sund.
