Herb and Joan split their time between Maine, Nova Scotia, Virginia, and Colorado having both recently retired.
Herb enjoys doing triathlons, ocean kayaking, and snowboarding while Joan loves traveling between Maine, Nova Scotia, Virginia and Colorado where she spends her winters.
Their initial efforts filming for FulGaz centered around some of Maine’s iconic coastline, western mountains and foothills. Their most recent collection is the duo sharing with the world just how beautiful their home state of Maine is.
Here’s a bit more about the people behind the lens.
What’s your favourite ride to do in the real world?
Joan’s: The coastline of Liverpool. Nova Scotia, Canada,
Herb’s: The Evans Notch north side climb in Western Maine.
Favourite FulGaz ride & why?
Our favorite ride is Coast to Coast South Africa by Bianca Le Roux and Gys Malan . The ocean views and mountains are stunning and frequent.
How did you start filming rides for FulGaz?
With Joan heading out to spend the winter in Colorado, we wanted to have a collection of rides we’ve done together to ride virtually while she was away. We’d call, sync up the start and ride “together” while it was cold and snowy outside.
Favourite cycling memory?
Herb: Finishing the Mt. Washington, New Hampshire Hill Climb race.
Joan: Finishing the Blue Ridge Parkway S-Curves in Virginia.
