A brief descent to Gibelfl¸h offers respite before the ride leads through Ballwil to Gisikon. The climb to Michaelskreuz, with grades between 8 and 13%, is interrupted only by some flat meters halfway up. GLAUBENBERGPASS VON SARNEN

The ride starts with a flat warm up along the (small) airport of Kaegiswil. In Sarnen, the climb starts just after the roundabout and soon the gradient kicks in. The arrival at Stalden gives some flat meters to get some breath before the big ascent starts. After lots of turns the road flattens again when reaching Langis, popular in winter for ski cross country with the big car parking. From there, it is only some kilometres and a bit of height until the highest point of the Glaubenbergpass, where there is a little restaurant for refreshments!

Then ascend to the village of Finsterwald and descending 3 km to Gfellen (a former little ski place) before the real climb to Glaubenbergpass begins. The ascent varies between 8 and 13 %, with short flatter segments.

Introducing Ivo Stettler, an IT Engineer residing in Ballwil, near Lucerne, Switzerland, with his wife and two children, aged 22 and 23. Having commuted to work by bike for 13 years, Ivo turned to indoor biking and FulGaz in his basement during the pandemic-induced home office to maintain his fitness.

Sharing a love for exploring Switzerland on gravel bikes with his wife, Ivo took his cycling passion to the next level in 2023 by filming his favourite rides around his hometown, making them available for others during the winter months. As a hobbyist, Ivo’s rides may not break speed records, and his distinctive asthmatic breathing might be recognisable, but the joy lies in seeing his rides on FulGaz and reliving them during the chilly seasons. Embrace the cycling spirit with Ivo on FulGaz!
