This week, Scott Mandel shares with us three great routes from the USA.
The route Sonoma to Napa is one to add to the favourites. An undulating ride through Californian wine country shows off stunning mountain ranges in the distance, vineyards and autumn foilage as you roll past the many wineries of the region.
For a post-ride refreshment, we’d suggest a glass of Blanc des Blancs from Domaine Carneros.
Find all these rides under NEW in the FulGaz app or by searching MANDEL in FulGaz.
Starting just outside the resort town of Bar Harbour, a beautiful ride through the magnificent Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island, which despite its name is a wonderful forested island just off the coast of Maine. It's an undulating ride through the forest, then you’ll follow the coast for a while before turning back inland and finishing at the base of Cadillac Mountain, famous for the summit being where the sun first hits the continental USA each morning between early October and early March.
More InfoA gently rolling ride through the backroads and woods of Maine between the summer tourist destination towns of Camden and Rockport to the south, with a gravel section in the middle along a peninsula into West Penobscot Bay.
More InfoA ride through California's wine country starting near the town square in Sonoma. This is a gentle rolling ride around the bottom of the Mayacamas Mountain range past local vineyards and farms ending up after a couple of larger rollers on the outskirts on Napa.
More InfoHailing from Milton Massachusetts, just outside of Boston, Scott has contributed a number of collections to FulGaz sharing with us the road less travelled. Hit the link below to find out more about the person behind the camera.
