New York, USA

Sightseeing

~ DUPLICATE RIDE ~ Have you ever wanted to ride a bike in New York City without all the cars and pedestrians? Here's your chance! This is the TD 5 Boro ride starting in lower Manhattan and proceeding up 6th Avenue to Central Park, through Columbus Circle and up Central Park West past the Dakota (where John Lennon lived) and the American Museum of Natural History before coming across the top of the park and continuing north. We head east over the Harlem River into the Bronx (home of Yankee Stadium) before coming back into Manhattan and coming down alongside the East River on FDR Drive before crossing the Queensboro Bridge into Queens. We then roll up to Astoria Park before turning back down through Queens into Brooklyn, continuing to the Gownaus Expressway through Brooklyn and across the lower deck of the Verrazano Narrows Bridge (the highest point of the ride) before descending into the 5th borough, Staten Island, where it is mostly flat terrain until a small climb over the last half-mile or so to the finish line at the Staten Island Ferry terminal.
