Filmed on race day, once out of the water, athletes will take on the 56-mile bike course that will take triathletes onto the rural and scenic roads of northern Berrien and western Van Buren counties. This area is part of the Michigan "fruit belt" and includes numerous farms as well as vineyards and orchards. There is normally a south wind in June, so keep that in mind as you turn south to head back to transition as you may encounter the prevailing winds head-on. The course is mostly flat with some rolling hills.
