Doc Martin Country (Aug 31 – Sept 6)
Starting from Rock (Cornwall’s popular celebrity haunt – Gordon Ramsey, Hugh Grant, Prince Harry), the ride soon passes the vast surfing beach of Polzeath and through rolling Cornwall countryside before reaching Port Isaac. This fishing village is used for the filming of Doc Martin, the TV series with a worldwide audience popularised in part due to the dramatic scenery. You will pass his home/surgery (up the last narrow hill with the link chain fence), as well as the village shop and Golden Lion pub on the quayside frequented by Doc Martin!

Spring in Kincardine (Sept 7 – Sept 13)
This short ride through the town of Kincardine takes us along Boiler Beach road, named for wreckage from a boiler partially buried in the sand from the steamship “Erie Belle” that exploded in 1883. We’ll pass the historic lighthouse a few times, and pass some of the town’s main street with largely intact historical buildings typical of the late 19th and early 20th century in Ontario.

Trinity Church Road (SEPT 14 – 20)
The ride goes through the rural area of North Fulton County, Georgia, just north of Atlanta. The ride stays on lumpy rural roads for its entirety, passing thru some lovely farmland, forests and semi-rural estates. We had to endure a few cars passing us, but its a relaxing ride in a great part of Georgia.

Haldensee Weißenbach Loop (SEPT 21 – 27)
Starts in the early morning with sunshine on the Haldensee. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and the fast descent towards “Weißenbach am Lech”. A little tour through the village before we turn around and tackle the short and not too steep Gaichtpass with some power before we enjoy again the views of the lake.

The Brontë Sisters Loop (SEPT 28 – OCT 4)
Ride in the wheeltracks of the 2014 Tour de France Grand Depart and the 2015 and 2017 Tour de Yorkshire as you struggle up the cobbles on Haworth Main Street before heading out onto the Yorkshire Moors. The parsonage in Haworth was the home of the Brontë family, and the bleak, open moors inspired the settings for the sisters’ novels.
The towering chimneys you will pass on this ride and others in this area are a legacy of the textile mills from Yorkshire’s industrial past.

The Satta Pass (OCT 5 – 11)
Ride on the old Tokaido road, and revisit one of the 53 stops between old Kyoto and Tokyo. The ride is flat at the beginning, but has a steep climb in the middle. You’ll enjoy Mikan groves, ocean views and even a glimpse of Mt. Fuji.

Haager Lies (OCT 12 – 18)
The Haager Lies is a 25.6km time trial ride called “Bike the Lies”.
It is a gently rolling climb along a former railway track between Oberschwaig and Haag am Hausruck in Upper Austria. All the slopes are less than 5% enabling a smooth ride at high speed.
