Dag Brattli

Coming to us from Tromsø, Norway, Dag Brattli shares a couple of his favourite rides around the Malagen fjords where the summer midnight sun means you can cycle 24/7.

What’s your favourite ride to do in the real world?

Guadalest, Costa Blanca, Spain. So many good cycling memories. Buying a coke and ice cream is a great reward when you arrive at the small mountain village after struggling up the hill.

Favourite FulGaz ride & why?

I haven’t tried that many yet, but for now it must be the Karoo crossing Swartberg pass. Prince Albert, Western Cape, South Africa. This is because I did cycle this hill back in 2019, and it’s so amazing that I can relive it again.

Favourite cycling memory?

Being part of Chooda/Bike Zambia in 2016, cycling with my wife and two boys from Lusaka to Livingstone.

Dream bike or favourite bike?

Bombtrack Hook EXT C.

Any other random facts you’d like to add?

As part of TDA Global Cycling, I have cycled the 1900 km from Windhoek, Namibia, to Cape Town, South Africa, through the Namib desert on a fat bike… twice. Both in 2014 and 2017.
