Two of our newest contributors both come to us from Hermanus, located in the Western Cape province of South Africa. about 1h30mins from the legislative capital of Cape Town.
Both have been doing some epic riding over the last month and are keen to show the world some of the best spots to ride (and visit) are in South Africa!

Driven by her passion and reputation of delivering efficient and consistently high standards events South Africa, she has positioned her company, The Coastline Group as a leader in this space since 2012.
As an event promoter, she is the co-owner of the Brewery to Brewery MTB race, a 96km ride that rolls out of a brewery in the small village of Greyton and finishes at a brewery in Hermanus. There’s currently plans to expand the event to become a two-day event in the near future.
The Coast to Coast route is another trick up her sleeve, the event she is now launching to the world virtually first, will become an actual event in 2021.
The other half to this dynamic African duo is Gys Malan, (35) a thrill-seeking father of two, has been hitting it hard on the bike since 2014, you’ll struggle to keep up with this guy!
Winner of the Trans Baviaans 24 hour mountain bike race, he is a hard, fast racer who loves a challenge on and off the bike.
The Trans Baviaans s one of South Africa’s premier mountain biking events, a grueling 230km journey through the night from Willowmore through the remote Baviaanskloof to the finish at Jeffreys Bay. The event is also unique as the entire route is unmarked and tests the orientation skills of each rider.
Known as @GysRace, he clocks around 14,000km per year and lives for every second in the saddle, he has no limits and no fear.
