This weekend is the first of the Silverstone double header for British Formula 1 Grand Prix, we thought we’d throw down a little rider challenge.
We’d love to see you cutting laps on the iconic circuit all over our Strava feed this weekend. There’s no prizes or leaderboard on offer, just push yourself to set a personal best time around the 5.7km/3.5 mile circuit.
With a toughness score of 33 and only 21 metres/63 feet of climbing, you’ll be able to knock out laps in decent time.
We have no idea how fast he went on two wheels, but in 2010, whilst driving for Ferrari, keen cyclist Fernando Alonso set the fastest lap time ever in 1min30.874 seconds on the Arena Grand Prix Circuit. While your time might be a bit off the pace of the Spaniard it’s still a great opportunity to test yourself.
If you do manage to beat Alonso’s world record time, we will fly you to our super exclusive FulGaz Headquarters and Mike himself will build a remote control plinth to present your trophy and you will be promptly signed to the WorldTour.
