In the collection are five of Klaus’ top rides from around the world which showcase just a handful of the beautiful rides that are available on FulGaz.

All these rides are available to ride via the app simply by searching their name. You can also find some of Klaus’ own rides by searching “Klaus”.

Sella Ronda Clockwise

This is simply a fantastic area, with great views of the Dolomites. It’s my absolute favourite in summer and winter. This ride is great for endurance and climbing, I was lucky to be able to film this ride the video without a single break!

On FulGaz you’ll climb up the well-known passes including, Passo Gardena, Passo Campolongo, Passo Pordoi and Passo Selva and enjoy the beautiful views on the descents.

Passo dello Stelvio from Prato

With its 48 hairpins and an average gradient of 7.4% over a relentless 24.3Km, this is the most famous – and the most difficult – of the three routes to the summit at 2758 metres/9050 feet.
This is THE iconic pass in Europe every cyclist must do once. Find out why and try to enjoy the views – they get better and better with each switchback!
I filmed it twice (first time camera went crazy), both times starting at 6 am in the morning to have as few cars and motorcycles as possible.

Going to the Sun Road Glacier National Park

This is the ride on every serious North American cyclist’s bucket list. The approach from the west is a mind-blowing adventure on roads so narrow, cliffs so steep many refuse to drive it. The climb is never too difficult, with a maximum 7.5% grade.
This version has no cars and is filmed with great light. Plus it’s not too steep so you can enjoy the awesome scenery and still get some climbing in.
Be sure to also do it from the other side!

Return of the Pedi

You’ll ride over a series of sweeping, rolling dunes from Moreb dune to Liwa dune in the Rub’ Al Khali (Empty Quarter) in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. It’s close to the area where the opening scenes for the Force Awakens were filmed on Planet Jakku.

I’ve ridden this ride at least 10 times and I still can’t get enough of it. The area is something completely different – I love it! The combination of several short climbs and the descents in-between is good for max efforts and for enjoying the desert scenery. Do the return ride “The Incline strikes back” for some change!

Les Lacets de Montvernier

It’s a beautiful sunny day in the Maurienne Valley. Climb up to Montvernier, negotiating 17 hairpins on a narrow road at an average gradient of around 8%. Used on Stage 12 of the 2018 Tour de France.

I love this ride as my go-to for max power efforts. Always full-speed (all-out) from the beginning to the end. Check your form throughout the year and try to beat yourself all the time…
