This week Aidan Buttigieg takes us on some of the BEST Victorian routes from Australia. Over summer, Aidan filmed along the Mornington Peninsula, Phillip Island and in the High Country to pull this collection together.

If you’re looking to test the legs and push yourself this weekend, give the Emerald Bakery Loop a go, with 1000m+ of climbing, it’s a great way to keep the legs turning over.

If you like this collection, type “Buttigieg” into FulGaz to see his other rides.

Emerald Bakery Loop

Starting on the gravel 1in20, this ride takes you up and around towards Emerald Bakery via The Patch. Rolling hills with some steep pinches makes for a tough ride. A well-deserved respite and you descend back down the main road on the 1 in 20 to finish off the loop.

Arthurs Seat To Flinders

An extremely popular and tough climb down the peninsula. With steep gradients, Arthurs Seat climb itself offers little respite between the sharp hairpins. This ride continues onto the beautiful seaside town of Flinders, crossing through the beautiful countryside farmlands. Although filmed in ‘summer’, a freak shower creates a ‘wintery training ride’ feel.

Penguin Parade To Rhyll 🐧

Starting at the Penguin Parade, this beautiful ride takes you across Phillip Island to the small town of Rhyll. Phillip Island is quite famous for its Cape Barren geese that huddle along the side of the road. Enjoy the scenery as you meander along the gravel scenic route back around towards Rhyll.
