A gradual climb towards Woodend to warm up before taking on the ‘easier’ ascent from the north of Mt Macedon. Don’t believe it’s easy though as you climb through the native woodlands. See the damage from the winter storms as you continue towards the Memorial Cross before a relaxing descent.
