Starting in town at the Tallangatta information centre, you meander through a deep cutting of what once was a train line, but is now a rail trail. You’ll emerge to ride along Lake Road which follows the shores of Lake Hume, right on the Victoria/NSW border. Before you know it, you’ll be on dead quiet gravel roads again, as you start the final climb into the hills to finish at around 500m+ above sea level.
