This ride starts in Anchorage, Kentucky, a hamlet on the eastern edge of Louisville and self-proclaimed “Tree City USA.”
Architect Frederick Law Olmstead of Central Park fame designed the city layout in the early 1900s. The ride goes eastward through the rolling hills of central Kentucky ending at Our Best Restaurant, a local icon, in tiny Smithfield, Kentucky.
21 miles and 1400 ft of climbing along the way. No long sustained climbs but thigh-burning nonetheless.
