The final climb to one of the most emblematic mountains of the Volta a Catalunya, the Vallter 2000 ski resort, at an altitude of over 2,000 metres. On this stage in previous years, the bunch would have faced the tough climbs of Oix and Rocabruna.
In 2021, the British rider Adam Yates was the winner of this climb, and the overall classification of la Volta too.
