Col de Peyresourde from Loudenvielle

Pyrenees, France

New - Mountain - Sightseeing

The Peyrseourde is a very common pass in the Tour (first used in 1910!). It is often a set up climb for more famous finishing climbs like Superbagneres in this direction or Pla D’Adet or Aspin in the other direction. In the 2022 Tour, Tadej was led up this climb by McNulty turning right on Peyragudes to win the stage just ahead of Vingegaard on the airport runway. From this direction the gradients are very even and the views really open up near the summit. As the Peyresourde is rarely the final climb, what will you climb next? I went up Port De Bales (tough finish!) - enjoy the blue skies and open views!
