After 20 years of absence, a Volta stage once again finishes in the ski resort of Boí - Taüll. The mountain resort of Boí Taüll is located in one of the most spectacular places in the north of Catalonia, in the Alta Ribagorça. Boí Taüll is the gateway to the Natural Park of Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici, and is the highest ski resort in the Pyrenees with its summit at Puig Falcó.
The Portuguese Joao Almeida was the winner in the last edition.
