Just Gorge-ous

Cheddar, Somerset, England

Loop - Hilly

This ride encapsulates all that makes the Mendip hills a mecca for cyclists in the West of England, with two fearsome climbs. We start with a gentle climb out of the pretty village of Priddy, before descending the famous Cheddar Gorge. Look out for some goats on the rocks above the gorge! Two hard climbs follow, including Burrington Combe which is actually longer and gains greater elevation than Cheddar Gorge. The ride then returns over the Mendips to finish up back on Priddy Green. Watch out for the chase down of a group of club riders at the finish!
