Although they are comparable in both distance and height gained, White Down Lane (OC-18) is a much harder climb as it doesn't start ramping up until you have crossed the railway bridge, over halfway through the segment. Leith Hill (OC-17) is first up, immediately after the start, so make sure that you've warmed your climbing legs up.
