This ride provides a brief warm up on a quiet road in the forest before heading straight up Hurricane Mountain, located on the eastern side of New Hampshire near the Maine border. It is often used to train for the annual world-famous Mt Washington Auto Road Hill Climb time trial race, which is held in August just a few miles to the north. The fun begins at the gate, which is closed when the snow begins, not to be opened again until spring.
