This 28.7km monster climb is the finale of the Tour of Bright. It rises to almost 1900 metres at the top so this is a serious test for any climber. The climb is essentially a tough first few kilometres that sorts the main contenders out from the pack, then a long false flat section that takes you to the real showdown, the final pinches to the top. This climb isn’t quite as hard indoors because you’re not running low on oxygen near the top, but it’s a great example of a true alpine climb and up there with some of the toughest climbs in the Alps or the Pyrenees.A huge thank you to Gordon, owner of Pioneer Garden Cottages - The home for cycling in Bright 03 5755 1233 www.pioneercottages.com.au.Terrain - More a succession of steep climbs than one single Alpine pass.
