Starting in Arrowtown near Queenstown, New Zealand, the trail follows the willow-lined Arrow River - the home of the goldrush in the 1800s. It passes cottages and grazing horses down Whitechapel country lane before the river drops into the gorge, then crosses the 80-metre Edgar Suspension Bridge before following the original goldminers’ road to the historic Kawarau Suspension Bridge, famous for bungy jumping. Then its on to wine country and Lord of the Rings landscapes, finishing at the Gibbston Valley Winery for lunch and a wine or two!
