Copperlode is one of the most popular cycling routes in Cairns, Tropical North Queensland. Located only 10km’s from the CBD Lake Morris Road takes you out to the Copperlode Dam. With spectacular views across Cairns from the first lookout and with very few cars ever seen it is a perfect training road for cyclists. The first 8.5km’s has an average gradient of 4.9% but it comes with plenty of short sharp pinches to keep you on your toes. Then it’s up and down for another 6.5km’s. This will provide you with a solid 1hr session!
