Witton Steeps and Past the Gallops

Wensley, Yorkshire, England

Hilly

Recorded on a typical Yorkshire summer day and starting off in Wensley, you have a kilometre to get warmed up before you reach Witton Steeps which is an historical old road leading to Middleham. Don’t worry about the road sign warning of the 25% climb ahead, it only gets to 21% on the first bend and that’s the worst, although the gradient is frequently double digits as you huff and puff to the top. Once there enjoy the descent past the Gallops and down to the finish in Middleham where King Richard III once lived.
