CIOVO TO TROGIR TO PRIMOSTEN

You cycle from the island Ciovo, over a bridge to the mainland and through Trogir. At first you follow the coastline and after 16 km you pass between gentle hills to emerge after another 10 km again at the coast. Shortly before you reach the old town of Primosten you will have a breathtaking view of the surrounding sea, islands and Primosten itself. Croatia is called "The land of 1000 islands“ and "The pearl of the Mediterranean Sea“. You will understand why.

PRIMOSTEN TO TROGIR

You start at the old town of Primosten and continue along the coast before you enter a section with gentle hills to emerge after 10 km again at the coast. Following the winding road for 16 more kilometres you will arrive at the ancient town of Trogir, stopping at the main and old city gate. After 2.6 km you will see a marina. The vineyards behind it (approx. at 3.3 km, right side) are listed in the Unesco World Heritage Tentative List ("The Primošten vineyards represent a materialized traditional form of cultivating a specific kind of Mediterranean soil“). Croatia is called "The land of 1000 islands“ and "The pearl of the Mediterranean Sea“. You will understand why.

KOZJAK TO TROGIR

Riding from the mountain called Kozjak to the coast you will understand why Croatia is called "Land of the thousand islands“ and "Pearl of the Mediterranean Sea“. Once you descend the steep mountains you will ride alongside a nearby series of fortifications called "Kastela“ that were built in the 15th century between the ancient cities of Split and Trogir, following the coastal line of the Adriatic sea. There you can find one of the oldest trees in Europe: an olive tree approx. 1500 years old. You also cycle past the international airport of Split/Kastela. The nearby mountain range offers a vast number of rides, ranging from easy, sightseeing tours to exhausting fights against elevation, wind and endless roads with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, the coast and the Adriatic with its islands. ČIOVO TO TROGIR TO KOZJAK

You cycle from the island of Čiovo to the mainland and then around the ancient part of Trogir, heading towards Split and passing the international airport of Split/Kastela. The tour is alongside a nearby series of fortifications called "Kastela“ that are built in the 15th century between the ancient cities of Split and Trogir, following the coastal line of the Adriatic sea. There you can find one of the oldest trees in Europe: an olive tree approx. 1500 years old. At the Kastel stari ("Old Fortification“) you turn to your left to begin the climb towards the mountains. The ride ends at a viewpoint overlooking the impressive panorama. The nearby mountain range offers a vast number of rides, ranging from easy, sightseeing tours to exhausting fights against elevation, wind and endless roads with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, the coast and the Adriatic with its islands.
