Our very first contributor from Hong Kong, Christop Hanswindt is 58 years old and a keen rider.

We’re very pleased to add Christop as a FulGaz contributor.

He selected these routes as they represent his usual weekend rides in Hong Kong and they showcase a very typical stretch of what you can experience in Hong Kong on the island itself and the New Territories.

What’s your favourite ride to do in the real world?

I like them all!

How did you start filming rides for FulGaz?

I was always wondering why there was nothing from Hong Kong so I decided to add some tours.

Favourite cycling memory?

None really. Certainly downhill at high speed is always more enjoyable for me.

Any other random facts you’d like to add?

The Hong Kong Climate is very humid and hot during summer times while enjoyable during winter. In essence, people ride inside during the summer and outside during the winter.

Dream bike or favourite bike?

The bike I used for filming the videos is my favourite bike! It’s my AX-Lightness Evo Ultra with Lightweight wheels and THM parts including Campagnolo EPS.

Hong Kong 🇭🇰

For many people, Hong Kong isn’t the first place that springs to mind for people who love to ride, however serious government investment over the last few years into bike paths, such as the New Territories Cycle Network is making it a mecca for riding.
