Alexis Berthillier

Originally hailing from Caen in the North of France, Alexis Berthillier has been living in Mountain View California for the last 20 years.

A seasoned ultra rider, to date, he has completed more than 100 double centuries (200 miles non-stop) as part of the California Triple Crown in the past 7 years.

He is proud to be in the Hall of Fame for the California Triple Crown, Silver State 508, Hoodoo 500 and was the first rider to complete the Mountain West Ultra Cup last year which includes Race Across Oregon, Hoodoo and the Silver State 508!

If this wasn’t enough, he has also completed and won Race Across the West in his category (2 men team) twice!

Why do you ride?

I love to ride either outdoors or on FulGaz and usually rides about 1,200 miles a year or so. I ride on the road as well as I am an avid MTB during the off-season.

What’s your favourite FulGaz ride & why?

So far my favourite is the Col du Galibier as it reminds me of my childhood when I was going skiing every winter there with my family.

How did you get into filming rides for FulGaz?

I started to film rides for FulGaz as there were almost no local rides that I like on the platform, therefore I told myself why not?

What’s your favourite ride to do in the real world?

Very hard question as there is a long list of epic rides I’d like to do in the future.

What’s your favourite cycling memory?

Very hard to pick just one as most of the time finishing a double century or one of the major events is always a blessing and the result of a major adventure.
