OC-145 Côte de Lofthouse, Tour de Yorkshire 2017

Lofthouse, Yorkshire, England

The Archives - Official UK Climbs

The Côte de Lofthouse was the only significant climb on day 2 of the tour, used in the morning by the women’s race and again later in the afternoon by the men’s race. It’s a relentless, brutal ascent reaching nearly 25% at a left hand bend before easing off for the final half mile. Starting in Ramsgill in Nidderdale, climb out of Lofthouse up Trapping Hill (Official Climbs #145), then descend to the Leighton reservoir before reaching Masham. Look out for the Tour de Yorkshire effigies on both sides of the road as you cycle through Healey.
